Job Summary:

As an Account Manager you will be responsible for the planning and execution of our clients’ signature events. You will manage our team of Account Coordinators to execute the event plan and bring our experiences to life. You will manage multiple events and must understand the various elements required and how they are all part of the big picture.



  • Work very closely with Power Play’s key client contacts to support the building, ongoing management and execution of a variety of signature events and campaigns.

  • Manage multiple projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.

  • Set the short and long term strategic direction for the client and identify the necessary services and resources required to implement the strategy.

  • Work to develop and execute multiple event logistical plans; including workback schedules, run of show, production schedules and budgets.

  • Clearly communicate the progress of short and long term initiatives to clients and external stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain detailed event plans and experience overviews

  • End to end management of the production process to meet our client(s) needs. This includes the sourcing of the required gear & crew, floor plans, rigging plots, content development, setup and execution.

  • End to end management of the creative process. This includes the development of a creative brief, creative asset list, working with our designers to execute and successful delivery of the finished product.

  • Development of digital media and communication strategies and tactics.

  • Management of virtual event platforms all related digital elements.

  • Development of event fundraising strategies and tactics

  • Respond to changing client, program, team and organizational needs and requirements with an ability to generate viable new approaches and solutions.

  • Supervise and coach Account Coordinators on the day to day running of the account, ensuring that tasks are completed on time, project status is monitored and client requests are handled in a timely manner.

  • Act as brand ambassador for Power Play and continually work towards developing fresh campaigns.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitors and best practices.

  • Review post-event analysis and debriefs with our clients.


Here’s What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years’ experience in an agency setting, managing high profile projects and clients.

  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing or other related field of study.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing high end events and experiences.

  • Proven ability to oversee multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working with not-for-profit organizations would be considered an asset.

  • Proven experience working in a collaborative, creative environment

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential

  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization

  • Experience with virtual events and event platforms would be considered an asset.

  • Experience with presentation layouts and graphic design would be considered an asset

  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop professional relationships

  • Demonstrates a level of enthusiasm and energy towards the work

  • Experience with managing a team of Account Coordinators

  • Takes initiative and very detailed-oriented

  • Self-motivated and goal oriented

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Bilingual in French is an asset

  • Be a team player willing to learn
