Job Summary:

As an Account Manager you will be responsible for the planning and execution of our clients’ signature events and campaigns. You will execute the event plan and bring our experiences to life. You will manage multiple events and must understand the various elements required and how they are all part of the big picture.



  • Work very closely with Power Play’s key client contacts to support the building, ongoing management and execution of a variety of signature events and campaigns.

  • Manage multiple projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.

  • Set the short and long term strategic direction for the client and identify the necessary services and resources required to implement the strategy.

  • Work to develop and execute multiple event logistical plans; including workback schedules, run of show, production schedules and budgets.

  • Responsible for identifying and implementing program efficiencies, process improvement and cost saving strategies

  • Monitor the current environment and have a contingency plan to shift events from in-person to virtual while delivering on a superior attendee experience for both colleagues and executives

  • Venue/vendor sourcing, contracting and negotiations based on specified budgets

  • Clearly communicate the progress of short and long term initiatives to clients and external stakeholders.

  • End-to-end management of the creative process. This includes the development of a creative brief, creative asset list, working with our designers to execute and successful delivery of the finished product.

  • Development of digital media and communication strategies and tactics.

  • Respond to changing client, program, team and organizational needs and requirements with an ability to generate viable new approaches and solutions.

  • Supervise and coach Account Executives on the day-to-day running of the account, ensuring that tasks are completed on time, project status is monitored and client requests are handled in a timely manner.

  • Act as a brand ambassador for Power Play and continually work towards developing fresh campaigns.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitors and best practices.

  • Review post-event analysis and debriefs with our clients.


Here’s What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years’ experience in an agency setting, managing high-profile projects and clients.

  • ​​Highly motivated individual with a passion for engagement and a proven track record of achieving results 

  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing or other related fields of study.

  • Proven ability to oversee multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional people manager and leader who will foster creativity and thought leadership

  • You are passionate about events, and you are keen to sharpen your skills in event production

  • Proven experience working in a collaborative and creative environment

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential

  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization

  • Experience with presentation layouts and graphic design would be considered an asset

  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop professional relationships

  • Experience working with not-for-profit organizations would be considered an asset

  • Proven experience dealing and negotiating with external vendors

  • Demonstrates a level of enthusiasm and energy towards the work

  • Takes initiative and very detailed-oriented
