GLOBAL JAM 2023

As Canada Basketball’s trusted event and production partner, Power Play collaborated to bring to life Globl Jam which consisted of 4 different events within five days.

Power Play supported the development and execution of the 3x3 Canada Quest Tournament at Yonge and Dundas Square. We worked on various aspects, including tournament management, guest and player experience, Nav Bhatia Superfan & Friends Charity 3x3 Game, as well as all game operations on and off court.

Additionally, Power Play was a key partner in planning and delivering a wholesome experience for more than 70 youth at a local Scarborough community centre as part of Globl Jam’s Legacy Day in partnership with Canadian Tire Jumpstart. The youth participated in basketball-related activities alongside the players and coaches from the Globl Jam Fives tournament.

Power Play acted as a crucial partner throughout the planning, development, and execution of the Globl Jam Fives tournament. Globl Jam Fives is a 5-on-5 Under-23 basketball tournament featuring women’s and men’s teams from around the world. In partnship with Sportsnet, this world-class international basketball showcase gave fans the chance to cheer on team Canada’s future NBA and WNBA stars at home. Power Play lead the way in game operations as the show director and producers for all games including the championship.

Power Play was the event partner of choice to host the Canada Basketball Hall of Fame celebration, recognizing 2023 inductees: Rowan Barrett, Don Cline, Joey Johnson, Alison Lang, Liz Silcott, Tammy Sutton-Brown, and Greg Wiltjer. The evening featured outstanding food and beverage, an insightful panel discussion, engaging activations, and live entertainment.
